about

Argentinian based Bruno Ledesma is the latest edition to the ever expanding family of artists signed to DEAD CERT Records. Now on their 14th release the UK based Techno label have released music from artists including Audio injection (Truncate), Hans Bouffmyhre, Ixel and Rich Jones/Operator amongst many others.

Bruno is known to many for his releases on respected labels like Android Muziq, Dark & Sonorous and Shout Records. He also heads up the deep and hypnotic Concepto Hipnotico label, which is an outlet for him to express his music taste and experiment with new ideas. This package showcases his new alias project which will be known as "Ledd."

The EP also features a remix from Canadian duo Subfractal who are based out of Toronto and own Frakture Audio. Consisting of Fahad Ahmad & Syed Raza the pair have released music on heavy weight labels including Sleaze Records, Brood Audio and Harthouse amongst many others in a seemingly endless list.

The first track titled "New Routes" is led by a strong off beat hi hat holds the rhythm and rips through the mix. Full of eerie FX and tortured sounds the threatening vocal hook paints a dark picture that's filled with excitement and tension. Although not for the light hearted, this track is peak time techno perfect for people who like it dark and sinister.

"Corrosive Thoughts" is the second offering that has marching Techno layers with the crack of explosive percussion and rushing FX. Full of atmosphere the track has a relentless energy and an air of menace that will satisfy even the most subdued dancefloor.

The third of Bruno's original productions is "Melting Process" which focuses on a pulsating bass line and building lead synth. Although stripped back compared to the other two it's no less of a monster. Tense from start to finish the track is a slow builder which erupts at just the right time to keep the listener hooked.

The fourth and final track on the release is the Subfractal rework of Melting Process. Keeping the originals stripped back sound and pulsating bass the pair add the rumble of a muffled vocal sample and create a distinct ambience using new sound textures. The added groove of their remix provides the perfect companion for the original and rounds off this well shaped EP.
